Hawaii State COVID Rules (please see for links to inter-island travel rules)

The requirements of Safe Travels are a negative COVID-19 test from a trusted testing and travel partner taken within 72 hours before departure to Hawai‘i and completion of the State of Hawai‘i Travel and Health form.

Hawaii has a Pre-Clear Program with domestic and international airline partners that allow travelers to confirm compliance with the Safe Travels Program prior to departure and bypass mandatory airport screenings upon arrival.  To qualify you need to:

1. Create a Safe Travels Account for each adult;

2. Add your flight and lodging info.

3. Complete the health questionnaire.

4. Upload your negative test results in pdf format for each adult and minor (5 years and older).

Your airline ahould give you a wristband.  Upon arrival in Hawaii, you'll be able to bypass airport screening lines. 

Quarantine

To reduce the risk of COVID-19 transmission all trans-Pacific travelers entering Hawai‘i must self-quarantine for 10-days or meet the requirements of the Safe Travels program.

You can apply for an exception/exemption from quarantine by:

1. Uploading a negative COVID-19 test result from Hawaii's Trusted Testing and Travel Partners, found on https://hawaiicovid19.com/travel-partners/
2. Uploading a picture of your COVID-19 vaccination card 
3. Using digital health pass such as CommonPass or Clear - to present either a negative COVID-19 test or proof of vaccination 
4. Applying for a specialty exemption at https://ag.hawaii.gov/travelexemption/

NO PERSON WHO IS SUBJECT TO THE MANDATORY SELF-QUARANTINE IS ALLOWED TO STAY IN A SHORT-TERM OR VACATION RENTAL SUCH AS HOYOCHI NIKKO.

Before travelling to Hawaii, please let us know whether you are double vaccinated or email your negative test results for all guests to: us at onthebeachonmaui@gmail.com; and our resident manager by email at hoyochinikkomanager@gmail.com.

Failure to do so will result in you not being allowed into your unit to stay.
